Workers Against Sectarianism

As a group of Iraqis living in Baghdad, Workers against Sectarianism-WAS come together to fight for social justice in Tahrir Square while participating in the uprising of the October Revolution. WAS mainly aims to spread the voice of the lower class and its political struggle to people inside and outside Iraq, and to practice politics in residential neighborhoods. In the archive, reports, articles and interviews, we criticize the sectarian system and highlight the struggle of the people, working class against sectarianism as the working class is the main engine of the current revolution. WAS aims to build solidarity networks inside and outside of Iraq so that political groups inside Iraq can connect to leftist organizations and parties outside Iraq. The overall objective of WAS is to challenge the status quo and positively affect the public opinion through accessible media and oral history to best achieve political change.
