Simon Wolfgang Fuchs is a lecturer in Islamic and Middle East Studies at the University of Freiburg, Germany. He obtained his PhD from the Department of Near Eastern Studies at Princeton University in 2015 and was a research fellow at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. He is the author of In a Pure Muslim Land. Shiʿism between Pakistan and the Middle East (Chapel Hill, NC: UNC Press, 2019).
