“Feminist Scribbles” Comic

Artist and Gender Studies scholar Maya el Helou is creating a new and simple medium of communication for issues of gender and sexuality in Arabic through visual comics. The Gender Scribbles Book Publication Project, that is supported by RLS Beirut since July 2017 is a collection of 50 comic art works that address topics like male privilege, sexual harassment, feminism and social injustice.
