Hussein is a consultant, interpreter and freelance journalist. Since 2016, he has been active in refugee and (re)integration work and co-founded the Syrian Civil Project association, which works on reconstruction, education and culture in Syria. He studied political science in Bremen and is currently completing his master's degree in media and migration.
