Farmers Roundtable was Held!
Today, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, a farmers roundtable was held in Sulaimaniyah.
The roundtable was organized by the Kurdistan Institution for Strategic Studies and Scientific Research in collaboration with Rosa Luxemburg-Beirut office and Azadbun Organization. Among the attendees were farmer from rural areas in Slemani, the Governor of Slemani, representatives of ministry of agriculture, health, and higher education.
At the roundtable, farmers, researchers, agricultural experts, and relevant parties discussed the states of agriculture in Kurdistan, the production and marketing of natural agriculture, lack of heirloom seeds, and collective plans to stop the wide use of pesticides and chemicals.
