Content Focus:
The social media channels will highlight:
- Events and publications from the regional office.
- Leftist perspectives on developments in West Asia, with a focus on geopolitics, feminism, accountability of decision-makers, migration, and food sovereignty.
Responsibilities:
- Create content for social media channels based on the above topics.
- Research and curate content from the regional office and other leftist sources, related to West Asia for social media.
- Independently create and execute a posting plan in coordination with the RLS team, regularly adjusting it to current political developments.
- Regularly analyze social media performance metrics with the RLS team.
- Provide proactive suggestions for the format and content of social media channels, focusing on increasing followers and engagement.
- Actively manage and build the social media community.
Requirements:
- Experience in social media management, particularly on Instagram, Threads, and Facebook.
- Interest and knowledge in Lebanon, Iraq, Iran, and Syria, as well as topics related to leftist politics.
- Experience in creating content using image and video editing software (photo, graphics, video).
- Strong writing skills in both German and English.
- Desirable: Experience in community management within the context of political education.
- Ability to work independently and strong communication skills.
- Political alignment with the values of RLS.
Time Commitment:
10 hours per week from September 15, 2024 to September 15, 2025.
