Requirements:
- Degree in arts or relevant field or at least two years of work experience in the visual arts
- Very good visual arts and technical skills (camera Operation and handling, lighting techniques and equipment proficiency, etc.)
- Very good skills in audio recording and sound design
- Video editing software proficiency (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Good technical proficiency in video making
- Ability to produce and edit a professional 15-minute video from raw field data
- Very good postproduction skills in conversion of raw field data into various visual mediums (audio, graphics, infographic, reels, etc.)
- Good visual storytelling and creativity skills
- Good communication and team work skills
- Professional photography skills
- Ability to edit professional post fieldwork visual material for social media dissemination
- Ability to create audio files from raw fieldwork data for podcasts and reels
- Ability to produce required short audio-video content during rural field visits
- Ability to deal with field and post production challenges
Framework of the assignment
The candidate must be able to accompany the research team during scheduled monthly fieldwork visits to rural areas in the Slemani Governorate, and assist her in assigned visual tasks between 1 September 2024 and 1 December 2024 and deliver the required material by the set deadlines.
Deliverables

Proposal Evaluation
The candidate will be evaluated according to RLS regulations and criteria. Proposals will be scored based on the following criteria:
- Graphic and video making experience (40%)
- Expertise concerning food sovereignty, farming or related field (20%)
- Professional Visual Work Experience (40%)

Payment:
The candidate will receive compensation at an hourly rate of $20-$30, based on experience and qualifications, for up to 20 hours per week.
