Rabih Jamil

Rabih Jamil is a Syrian/ Canadian scholar working on migration, socioeconomic integration of protracted refugees, and the transformation of labour in a context of accelerated digitalization. Rabih holds a PhD in sociology from the University of Montreal and has more than 15 years of work experience in handling development projects in the MENA region.

Jinwar, February 12, 2025 – Children attend classes in the school of Jinwar, a village populated exclusively by women and children in the north-east of Syria. Lessons are taught by teacher Sherin for four hours a day to twelve students.
